The Cooks Oval Spoon has a Black Maire head and the handle is crafted from an 800 year old forest floor relic log. Black Maire is one of New Zealand’s hardest timbers and used the by the early Maori for cultivation tools and weaponry.
The spoon is handcarfted by sculptor-chef, Tom Muir and is designed for everyday cooking as well as treasured possessions with history to be passed down through time. The handle is designed to fit comfortably in your hand and the spoon looks beautiful displayed in your kitchen (don’t hide them away in drawers).
Do not put utensils in the dishwasher. Warm hand wash only please.
