Janet & Chris Tuffley opened The Silver Pear in March 1999 with the aim of filling a perceived gap for contemporary home accessories and design led products in a rural market town.

We pride ourselves on offering unique products from exciting contemporary brands and a personalised shopping service that you just don’t get in large department stores.

The Silver Pear is located in historic Ludlow, one of the most beautiful market towns in England and voted one of the ‘best places to live in the UK’. The shop resides in a magnificent part-timbered 13th Century building at the top of Broad Street, one of the country’s finest streets.

We stock over 12,000 products in The Silver Pear. Our online shop offers only a selection, so do call us and we can help you find precisely what you’re looking for.
